TEKO HELP AUSTRALIAN FIRE FIGHTERS

TEKO, the eco-friendly technical sock brand, is showing it’s support for the Australian firefighters during the current wild fire crisis by donating 2000 pairs of their thickest Expedition socks to help insulate and protect the hard working fire-fighters enduring some of the most extreme conditions ever faced on the planet. 

There are currently thousands of fire-fighters involved in controlling the vicious blazes in Southern Australia. Showing their support to the cause, TEKO will be supplying the fire-fighters with their heavy weight merino wool sock. The comfort of the organic merino wool is combined with the added advantage of it also being a naturally fire retardant fibre. Long after the fires are out the burning embers remain and the life of a pair of fire boots is reduced to days rather than months or years.

TEKO have teamed up with their freight company who have shipped the socks free of charge into the worst effected Australian areas.

Commenting on the donation, TEKO’s Mark Staddle, Sales director for the UK distributor Anatom, says – “We are pleased to be pledging our support to such a heroic cause. We have good friends being adversely affected by these fires and this is the least we can do being on the other side of the world. We recognise the astounding efforts that are being made by the fire fighters to control the horrific situation and hope the socks make the long hours on their feet a little easier.”
