DYNAFIT WORKS TO HELP ITS ENDANGERED TRADEMARK

COLLECT METRES OF ASCENT FOR THE SNOW LEOPARD The snow leopard found in the logo of all-round ski touring supplier DYNAFIT truly represents the company. Not only does it highlight the company’s affinity with this elegant mountain cat, but it also symbolises the efforts that the company is making to support this animal and its habitat.
The snow leopard shows great speed and stamina as it moves gracefully through the high mountain ranges of Central Asia. It wanders over great expanses, and is ideally adapted to live in its high mountain surroundings. As a result, it embodies the values and principles of DYNAFIT better than any other creature, making it synonymous with life and survival in the mountains. Yet the very existence of this elegant predator is in danger.
The “Snow Leopard Trust”, established in 1981, is an international organisation dedicated to the protection and study of snow leopards worldwide. DYNAFIT has been a partner of this organisation for a number of years now, providing it with long-term support in its efforts to protect the animal and its habitat from the dangers posed by people and climate change. In addition to donating funds to this trust, DYNAFIT also equips rangers on location and provides professional press services. Another objective is raising awareness, and this partnership works to inform the local population, as well as interested sportspersons and animal lovers about this unique animal and the acute danger faced by the species.
In spring 2011 ski tourers will be able to do their part to help raise donations, as DYNAFIT is organising a big international event for SNOW LEOPARD DAY. All ski touring enthusiasts are being called upon to collect metres of ascent to save the snow leopard. A twelve-hour ski touring event is being organised for all ski tourers – from beginners to professionals. For every metre of ascent they cover on this day, DYNAFIT will donate one cent to the Snow Leopard Trust. Do your part – Speed Up!
